— About the course

Port Royal Golf Course sits right on the water in Southampton Parish, and the ocean wind is the real opponent. It's a Robert Trent Jones layout that plays par 71 at roughly 6,828 yards.

The signature hole is the 16th, a par 3 played over the ocean. Hit the green and you're a hero. Miss it and the Atlantic gets a new ball.

— Worth knowing (trivia for the lounge)

  • Five past champions are in the field: Brendon Todd (2019), Seamus Power (2022), Camilo Villegas (2023), Rafa Campos (2024) and defending champion Adam Schenk (2025).
  • Austin Lemieux, son of NHL legend Mario Lemieux, makes his first PGA TOUR start at age 30.
  • Two Bermudians, Nick Jones and Camiko Smith, earned sponsor exemptions to play at home.
  • Players are chasing a spot in the top 100 of the FedExCup Fall standings, which sets 2027 PGA TOUR status.
  • Bermuda runs two hours ahead of Houston, so the first tee shots go off in the morning for the island.

— Last week's result: Yin wins in Shanghai

Ruoning Yin of China won the Buick LPGA Shanghai at Sheshan Golf Club on Sunday, finishing one stroke ahead of Hye-Jin Choi. It's her seventh LPGA Tour win and her second of 2026.

Yin trailed Choi by two shots heading into the final round, then shot 68 and birdied the 16th and 17th holes to take the lead for good. The home crowd got the finish it came for.

BMW Ladies Championship in Korea

The LPGA plays the BMW Ladies Championship October 22–25 at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam, on Korea's southern coast. Sei Young Kim is the defending champion after a wire-to-wire, four-shot win at 24-under last year.

The field of more than 80 is led by two-time major champion Hae Ran Ryu, with Hyo Joo Kim and Lottie Woad also in the mix. Korea is 14 hours ahead of Houston, so live coverage lands overnight Central.
